The Forgotton Orchid - Dendrobium crumenatum

A very common orchid in Singapore and can be found growing naturally on nature reserve and also many roadside trees. However, most people prefer a more colourful Dendrobium hybrids than this small white orchid with fragrant.A member of the family Orchidaceae, the flowers in white with a yellow tinted throat.

From the side view, the orchid resembles a flying pigeon; that's how it's known commonly as the Pigeon Orchid (Dendrobium crumenatum).

Is believed that the Pigeon Orchid blooms when it experiences quick changes in temperature. In most cases this occurs as a result of a rainfall, which cools off the air rather quickly. So, do check out for it after the next heavy downpour!
